Welcome to our school!
Luganville International School is a charitible organisation founded in 2016 and located in Santo, Northern Vanuatu. The school was originally founded by a group of parents who wanted their children to attend a school with a quality education. We have steadily grown in enrolments over the years, from 8 students in 2016 to 100 in 2025 with 16 teaching staff. We have students from Australia, New Zealand, Korea, China, the Philippines and France, but the majority of our students are Ni-Vanuatu. Our teaching staff are from Australia, New Zealand, the USA and various islands in Vanuatu.
The purpose of Luganville International School is to provide a quality education to the community in Espiritu Santo. We use the title ‘International School’ to describe our reality as a multicultural community. Our school uses the Australian Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) for our teaching, but we adapt these for the local context.
Currently, we offer education from Kindergarten to Year 10. In 2026 we will be teaching the USP Preliminary Arts Programme. We are the second school in Vanuatu to be franchised by USP to offer this programme which will give students a direct pathway to further tertiary education opportunities.
Our aim is to produce successful life-long learners and active global citizens who can live and learn well both in local and international environments with a strong proficiency in English.
